Brody is doing great. He's a really good boy (most of the time) and is really getting big. He has long legs and weighs approximately 18 lbs. I don't know if he's finished growing but I hope so! He's very smart and loving. He has some separation anxiety when we have to leave him home in his pet porter but that's to be expected since we are both retired and are with him most of the time. He still gives kisses and I found out he likes cats at his last grooming appointment. He has a very thick back coat. I've had him groomed twice already. I call him my hair monger!
He went for his first swim in the pool the other day and as I expected he can swim but was not impressed with it. He just about climbed up my head trying to get out so I figure he's not a pool dog. He likes to stand on the deck and watch us and that's ok with me. He's a very social boy since we take him with us alot. He loves to go to my grandson's ball games and has become quite a hit with the other parents, grandparents and kids. Loves kids!! He's going back to the vet next month to be neutered. I'm sure he'll love that!
} Well, I could go on but I'm beginning to sound like an overly proud mother so I'll close for now. I'll try to send more pictures as time goes on.
Brody says hi!

THE LITTLE BOY PUP ABOVE<OTIS> WILL BE LIVING WITH A GREAT FAMILY IN CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS PA. THANK YOU CHRIS, DON, & MADISON FOR GIVING A LOVING HOME TO A 2ND MINI WHISKERS DOGGIE.
APACHE WENT TO LIVE WITH STACY IN BUTLER PA.
Well, he’s now been home with us for a few weeks and we couldn’t be happier! He is a great puppy—so smart and lovable. I teased my husband that if Hiccup didn’t live with us I wouldn’t believe that raising a puppy could be this easy. Thank you to you and your family for teaching Hiccup to love people—he is a delight! He is great with the children—even gentle with our littlest two who are learning to be more gentle with him. He is a lap dog with a capital “L”. He’ll lay and sleep with our seven year old while he reads before bed. He’ll play and play and play with our nine year old! So having four children and a puppy isn’t as crazy as we thought it would be!
I can’t tell you how many folks have commented on his unique coat—he is truly beautiful. We’re still waiting for his first haircut to reveal what color he may be—his top hair is so dark, but it looks like it is lighter underneath. And though he gets wound up, he calms down quickly and is very good when meeting new people timidly waiting to see how he should react to them. As soon as he decides they are a friend (which he always decides is the case), he wags his little cotton ball tail at them and says “Hello.” Many people have commented to us at how calm he is and Hiccup just seems to know when it is time to settle down. And from the first night we brought him home, he’s slept through the night! He even stays asleep when we have to get up with one of the children—he is just that good!
Hiccup is doing really, really well. We can’t believe that he is just now 5 months old—he just seems like he has been with us forever and he seems so much more like a dog than a trouble-making puppy! He’s so good—and is training well with everything. I wanted to tell you too that every morning the three boys all bring their favorite blankets downstairs with them . . . and guess who else goes to his bed and brings his blanket downstairs too? That’s right! Hiccup has to be one of the pack and he will go to his crate and get his blanket too. It’s just too cute.

BRAVE WENT TO LIVE WITH THE BAILY FAMILY.
Hi Joanie! Here's an update on Brave.
We decided to rename him Scruggs after banjo and bluegrass legend Earl Scruggs. Scruggs has been fantastic since day one. He is doing very well with potty training and has become quick friends with our other pets. We have raised several puppies over the years and my wife and I feel this is the best puppy experience we have had. Although we have only had him for just over a week, it feels like Scruggs has been a part of our home forever. We could not ask for a better puppy. When we are ready for a new puppy, we will be calling you first.!!
Thanks so much!!

EMILY & HER NEW PUPPY
Hi Joanie and Family,
I just wanted to update you on our little guy. We bought a male from your October 2011 litter. You probably would remember our daughter Emily since she came with us to pick him out.
He was originally called “Phonix” by you. We ended up naming him “Rembrandt” but call him “Remmie”. He has adjusted well. He’s all potty trained, crate trained, knows the basics of sit, down, etc. He just lost his front teeth, had his last puppy shots and will shortly be having his neutering surgery. All in all he is turning out to be one special hund. He has become a part of our family and we are all enjoying him.
Attached are two new pictures of him. As you can see, he is growing like a weed.
Thanks for the wonderful dog. I’m sure we will have many happy years with him.
PRINCESS WENT TO LIVE WITH LISA & HER
FAMILY IN PERKASIE PA. THANK YOU FOR BUYING
A MINI WHISKERS PUPPY TO LOVE.
Sorry I did not get back to you sooner but Princess – Sandy Nighttime Burke is doing very well.
She traveled in the boys lap all the way home and has been playing with them ever since. She has been a great addition to our family and helps put the boys to sleep every night. The boys are at school now for the first time and I think she is a bit bored and the boys already miss her and want me to pick them up early. She is good so far at chewing her toys….and loves them.
We are working on the paper training because it is just too cold to make her stand outside and she is doing ok…She eats about 2 small bowls of moist food a day and some dry food so I think she is adjusting well.
I will send you pictures from the car ride and weekend when I download them.
Thanks for giving us such a loving dog – you can tell your family has handled her a lot and she loves kids.
